Call for Submissions (Volume 1, Issue 1)

Submit Your Work to CJELT

The Contemporary Journal of English Language Teaching (CJELT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that welcomes submissions from researchers, teacher educators, classroom teachers, graduate students, and education professionals worldwide. The journal publishes scholarship in English language teaching, TESOL, teacher education, applied linguistics, literacy, assessment, technology-enhanced learning, artificial intelligence in language education, and language education policy.

Now accepting submissions for Volume 1, Issue 1. CJELT’s inaugural issue will close in December 2026. From 2027 onward, CJELT will publish two issues each year, with Issue 1 closing in June and Issue 2 closing in December. Articles will be published online continuously once they complete review, revision, copyediting, and formatting.

Peer-reviewed

Submitted manuscripts are screened by the editorial team and sent for peer review when appropriate.

Open Access & Article Processing Charge

Published articles are freely available for academic and educational use with proper attribution. CJELT charges no submission or publication fees.

Continuous Publication

Authors may submit manuscripts year-round. Accepted articles are published online after review, revision, copyediting, and formatting.

Visibility & Discoverability

CJELT articles are designed to be citable and discoverable through Google Scholar and other academic search platforms. DOI information will be added when available.

Article Types

CJELT welcomes original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, critical perspectives, classroom-based studies, book reviews, and practice-oriented scholarship in English language teaching and language education.

As an international journal, CJELT welcomes contributions from any country or educational context that offer meaningful theoretical, methodological, pedagogical, or policy-related insights.

ELT Praxis Articles

CJELT also welcomes ELT Praxis articles: short, practice-oriented pieces that share classroom activities, teaching strategies, assessment ideas, materials, technology use, or reflective teaching practices.
